Leadership Training, April 11, 2026

Posted on March 24, 2026May 8, 2026 by Chris Gibson

Our Spring leadership training is set for April 11 at Ministries of Jesus from 8:30am to 10:30am–there will be coffee and snacks available. Historically these sessions have proven effective and helpful for the safety and growth of not just our Celebrate Recovery ministry–but also for the discipleship that happens naturally through our Recovery Ministry.

Having a dedicated leadership team has allowed me latitude in these sessions to lecture on theological elements related to ministry, recovery, and a life lived in biblical covenant. Over the past twelve months my monthly blog has been following Hebrews where my study has uncovered an emphasis the author places on the difference between morality (or legalism) and recovery (or God’s work; what God has done to recover the Creator-creature relationship). I plan to speak on this during the opening main session of training.

Here is the upcoming schedule and a flyer for download if you plan to attend. It is open to anyone.

Main session: Breaking the Myth: Recovery vs. Morality (Chris G)

Breakout 1: Guiding the Journey:  Leading a Step Study.  (Jen W)

Breakout 2: The Guidelines:  Creating safe spaces for healing.  (Austin)

Final Session: Level Up: Leadership Essentials (Josh M)
