Jungle Ministry exists to bring freedom to Nigerian men trapped in substance abuse, delinquency, and destructive lifestyles through the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Their mission is rooted in relationship-centered ministry, seeking to disciple men into Christ-like servant leaders who can influence their families, neighborhoods, and communities for the glory of God.
Working in areas affected by crime, drug abuse, and generational poverty, Jungle Ministry intentionally enters difficult environments to build relationships with individuals often overlooked by society. Rather than offering temporary solutions alone, the ministry seeks long-term transformation through evangelism, discipleship, mentorship, and recovery.

One aspect of Jungle Ministry that particularly resonates with my own work in counseling, recovery ministry, and discipleship is its commitment to holistic restoration. The ministry operates a two-year residential addiction recovery and discipleship program, helping men overcome substance abuse while grounding them in biblical truth and Christian community. Through evangelism, small groups, one-on-one counseling, and ongoing discipleship relationships, participants are equipped to leave destructive patterns behind and pursue a new life in Christ.
Recovery is never simply about stopping harmful behavior. Lasting recovery involves the renewal of identity, relationships, purpose, and hope. It is ultimately about recovering what God intended humanity to be as His image bearers. This aligns closely with the vision behind Recovering the Image, where discipleship and recovery are understood as interconnected dimensions of God’s work of restoration.

Another distinctive element of Jungle Ministry is its commitment to education. The ministry operates a Bible college that seeks to unite faith and learning by training students in Christian theology, biblical thinking, critical reasoning, reading, writing, and communication skills.
This educational emphasis reflects a conviction that I share deeply through my work with Ethnè Global Services and international theological training initiatives: education is one of the most effective long-term tools for combating poverty and strengthening communities. While financial aid can provide temporary relief, education equips individuals with knowledge, wisdom, leadership skills, and vocational opportunities that can impact generations.
Theological education is particularly important because it develops pastors, teachers, counselors, and leaders who can guide their communities with biblical wisdom. Healthy churches often become centers of community transformation, strengthening families, encouraging ethical leadership, and fostering hope where despair has long existed.
